102: Byrehope

This yarn really started my love affair with North Ronaldsay yarn. When I opened the second package of Neighbo(u)rhood Sheep Society I thought the yarn felt really coarse and unpleasant. I knit the gloves and then started wearing them. Then magic happened. The yarn softens so much after a few wears and it is so, so warm. These gloves are perfect for Glasgow. I wear them all the time when it’s cold and damp and unpleasant. The construction of the gloves themselves are slightly unusual and I really enjoyed it. Certainly a pattern to check out if you like non-standard construction.
